LOCATION
The vast majority of my tutoring sessions are conducted at set public locations in *WAIALAE-KAHALA (70%+) and LILIHA (and on a case-by-case basis in Kapahulu, Moiliili, Makiki, and Ward/Kakaako).
The hourly rates for the usually once-a-week sessions are:
- $50/hour + $40 private school admission test prep book, if applicable (Cash or Check ok).
The 1:2 rate is $60/hour total (a discount, sort of) for 2 siblings/relatives at the same time.
So, generally, for example...
- my Hawaii Kai to Manoa/Waikiki students meet me in KAHALA
- my Kakaako, Makiki, Kailua/Kaneohe, SaltLake, Moanalua, Aiea, PearlCity, Ewa/EwaBeach, Kapolei, Mililani... students meet me in LILIHA (the farthest west I go).
The vast majority of my students are:
- SSAT Punahou / Iolani / HBA prep
- SAT / ACT college admissions prep
- high school Math support (Algebra thru Calculus)
- some general Math/Reading skills development
RATES
- $50/hour 1-to-1 tutoring for SSAT private school prep, SAT/ACT college admissions prep, middle/high school Math, etc.
- My 1-to-2 tutoring rate is $60/hour total for 2 siblings/relatives at the same time.
- These figures include Hawaii general excise tax
As stated, a discount is offered for 1-on-2 tutoring.
HOURS OF OPERATION
While I am "open" from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily, most of the tutoring occurs:
- Monday thru Friday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM
- Saturday / Sunday from 8:00 A.M. to 8:00 PM
I have a few home-school students and high school upperclassmen with openings in their school schedule who meet me weekday mornings from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM for PSAT / SAT / ACT prep.
TTH tutoring has NO contracts. The parent / guardian or myself can terminate the tutoring relationship at any time for any and all reasons. The most common reason for termination on my part is missing, cancelling and/or switching scheduled sessions too often for any and all reasons. If the need for termination arises, I will make every attempt to notify the parent / guardian asap so that the child can benefit from the next tutoring relationship. Thank you!
