Last-Minute Friendly Reminders for SSAT Test Takers:
The SSAT is an extremely difficult aptitude test with each section formatted as a progression from “relatively easy” to “extremely hard” questions that target:
- 3rd & 4th graders (SSAT Elementary)
- 5th, 6th & 7th graders (SSAT Middle)
- 8th, 9th & 10th graders (SSAT Upper)
Therefore, as a general rule, test takers should focus more on the first half of each Synonyms, Analogies, Math and Reading section, and skip more unsolvable problems in the tougher second half of each section.
Test takers are penalized 1/4-point for each incorrect response.
